ExactTarget is seeking a Administrator to play a pivotal role in the administration, configuration, and development of our core customer relationship management (CRM) software. The candidate will work closely with end users and the Corporate Information Systems (CIS) team to define product requirements and implement these requirements on the platform. This position is based at ExactTarget headquarters in the historic Guaranty Building on downtown Indianapolis, Indiana’s bustling Monument Circle.

• Administration / Configuration
o Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users
o Manage the SF instance using the standard aspects of the Salesforce Setup menu
o Create and manage custom objects, fields, and formulas
o Assist users with report design and management
o Assist users with dashboard design and management
o Develop and maintain validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes
o Complete bulk imports of data - batch reassignment of accounts and opportunities based on organizational changes
o Assist with data access and sharing model management
• Process Discovery and Solution Design
o Recommend best practices
o Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage the database to support additional business processes or functions
o Recommend and co-design custom Visualforce pages
• QA / Training / Documentation
o Develop QA testing use case scenarios
o Perform regular QA of system configuration changes
o Assist training and documentation team with communication plans and training materials
o Assist training and documentation team with periodic system outage notifications and release notes
• Platform Integration
o Participate in the integration process with other enterprise systems
o Assist with on-going maintenance of Salesforce integrated external third party solutions
• Vendor Management
o Manage outsourced implementation partners as required; i.e., AppExchange partners
o Participate in ongoing relationship with personnel

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or computer science
• 2 or more years of experience in Administration
• Administrator certification preferred
• Exposure to developer toolkit is desired:
• Apex Classes, Controllers and Triggers
• Visualforce, IDE,
• Migration Tools
• Working knowledge of the software design lifecycle.
• Strong problem solving skills and an ability to deliver customer driven solutions
• Motivated to learn new software as a service technologies
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal is required
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Visio, Excel, and Word *
