: Job Title: Donor Resources Accounts Coordinator (DRACTC)

Position Summary:

Will have an expert knowledge of TraXwell. Will be responsible for documenting and managing all donor/sponsor complaints to the point of complete satisfaction. Will assist their assigned Donor Resources Territory Representative (DRTRRE) in making sure all figures are accurate on the calendars in TraXwell and assuring that out calendar is always booked out 2 months. Establishes patronage and relationships with blood donors and sponsors. Recruits, educates, motivates, and assist with all goals and assignments assigned to their DRTRRE. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in performance of duties.

Telephone calls will be routed here if groups call in and the recruiter is out, and telerecruitment may be requested as needed.

Donor Resources, as part of The Team with Donor Services, recognizes that its primary mission is to help blood donors fulfill their desire to become benefactors of community service through blood donation while providing exemplary customer service.

Donor Resources facilitates this mission by providing information, incentives, and logistical support to the donor group contacts.

The Donor Resources Accounts Coordinator is a Sales Representative and Coordinator of active accounts of The Blood Connection.

The Donor Resources Account Coordinator share goal and blood drive processes with their DRTRRE.

Compensation Salary Grade: 7

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

Making sure that booked drives are planned correctly, and successful.

TraXWell

Must be well versed in every detail of TraXWell.

Will be responsible for referring all donor/sponsor complaints.

Will be responsible for making notations of Holidays, Closings, or notices of special instruction on the calendars only if assigned.

Will be responsible for auto-scheduling the centers’ hours on the Centers’ calendar if assigned. Will also make changes as notified by either the Director of Donor Resources or the Manager of Center Collections.

Will be back-up to the employee in Center Operations to change the centers’ hours in LifeTec only if assigned.

Will be responsible for identifying new business accounts and booking blood drives in all territories if assigned.

Will share the responsibilities of the assigned Donor Resources Territory Representative regarding goal and calendar expectations.

Booking Blood Drives

Will be responsible for booking blood drives for any time period and from assigned Donor Resources Territory Representative. This booking is in addition to any blood drives booked by the Donor Resources Territory Representative. Shares the responsibility of and helps monitor the calendar and book blood drives as far ahead as possible.

Will be responsible for assisting in booking emergency blood drives.

Will be responsible for the best utilization of the staff, (ex. if a combination drive can be made with a regular drive, then the Account Coordinator will do so).

Will process all facets of new accounts through paper instruction to the Administrative Assistant.

Will work closely with the all departmental staff to work out restrictions of the blood drives to the best benefit both Donor Resources and Donor Services.

Customer Service

Display the highest quality of customer service to all sponsors, patrons, donors, and co-workers.

Personify The Blood Connection Stewardship Creed.

Uphold the terms of the Donor Resources and Donor Services Agreement.

Expectations

Work with all members of the Donor Resources Team to achieve a calendar fill rate of 100% booked for the period covering the next 60 days; 75% the next three months; 60% the next six months.

Secondary Duties:

Active participation in the recruitment of all Special Community Blood drive events.

Provide support of telerecruitment efforts when needed.

Provide support by recruiting on site when necessary.

All personnel are responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building grounds and properties of the Blood Connection.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

High School diploma plus experience working with the public or a proven sales record (some college preferred).

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Valid SC driver’s license.

Experience Requirements:

Customer service, marketing, clinical, and/or sales experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good knowledge of computers and excellent customer service/sales skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers.

Ability to sell The Blood Connection to all groups in the community by carrying our message of community service and the necessity of participation by all who are able to do so.

Possess the attitude necessary for skillfully asking for blood drives and handling rejection, when given by groups, with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Possess the tenacity to follow up respectfully with groups without offending.

Possess the aptitude for continued skill development.

Possess a satisfactory driving record.

Safety Equipment:

No personal protective equipment required.

Exception: those who have trained to “strip and seal” collected blood units are required to use the personal protective equipment for that particular task.

Seat belt when driving.

Exposure Determination:

XX Exposure Category 2: it is reasonably anticipated that the performance of tasks or procedures that are required for this job would not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or other potentially infectious material.

Working Conditions:

Office work and automobile travel in our service area or proposed service area. Outside recruiting in all types of weather. Occasional travel to conventions, seminars, etc.

Security Designation

Facilities:

RFID access to Matrix.

Access code for long distance telephone access, some computer sign-ons, and the purchase of fuel for company vehicles.

Continuing Education

Continuing education is offered for all blood center employees. Because continuing education enhances an employee’s ability to contribute at work and also broadens the employee’s base of knowledge overall, employee participation is strongly recommended. However, participation is optional.

This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; an employee will also perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

40 hours per week including nights, weekends and holidays.

GED or high school diploma required.
