Responsible for supervision of 5 FTEs, including 3 off-site Administrative Assistants in the Road and Bridge Division.
Work involves coordination and delegation of routine administrative and specialized work priorities and assignments in support of the Road and Bridge Division. Employee will monitor and review work completed by individuals and work group to ensure work is being done accurately, completely and according to schedule. Employee will approve employee work schedules and leave requests, and coordinate staffing needs. Work also involves conducting annual performance reviews and related goal setting, mentoring and coaching individual staff and team efforts, identifying applicable staff training opportunities and monitoring individual performance and work unit accomplishments. Employee will take pro-active measures to address performance or personnel concerns in a timely manner.
The preferred caniddate will have a two year associates degree in business management, public administration or human resource management or related field and minimum of three years related work experience in supervision and office management; or any equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Offer of employment contingent on successful clearance of drug screen, criminal history check and education verification.
Strongly prefer experience supervising a multi-person administrative support group,to include direct experience supervision a business office environment.
Must have hands-on business knowledge managing a multi-faceted office involving varied business purposes and needs.
Must have direct experience using Microsoft business applications.
