Summary of Duties
Directs Tuality Healthcare’s quality and performance
improvement processes. Oversees the Joint Commission (TJC)
preparation and survey for accreditation, quality
management/improvement, credentialing, continuing medical education,
(CME) and peer review. Participates in or leads sentinel event
root cause analysis and Confidential Occurrence Report investigation
when it applies to a quality of care or patient safety
- skills &
experiences the applicant should bring to the
degree required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Hospital or
Business Administration preferred.
license as an RN from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required;
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and/or
Certification in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
c) Minimum 10 years hospital or healthcare experience, 5 years in
management supervising employees required.
d) Knowledge of medical staff organization, quality and risk
management, and TJC required.
e) Must have knowledge and experience with Core Measures, HCAHPS,
patient satisfaction, CMS, state regulatory requirements, and current
concepts in quality assessment and improvement
f) Ability to work with mathematical concepts
g) Planning and budgeting skills required.
h) Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
i) Excellent presentation skills
j) Ability to implement ideas and programs
k) Demonstrated leadership and management skills
l) Ability to resolve problems
m) Self-directed and motivated to work with minimal
n) Strong analytical skills essential.

p) Must have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft
Word/Excel and electronic communication programs i.e. Microsoft
q) Knowledge in statistics, data collection and quality
r) Excellent customer service skills
s) Microsoft Visio experience/skills preferred.
