The Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing an independent review of real estate appraisals and evaluations for pending mortgage loan applications. He/She will also conduct regular reviews of Fannie Mae and secondary market lending programs to ensure ongoing compliance. In addition, this individual will assist the Compliance Officer with projects and other duties relevant to this department.
Qualified candidates will have

An Associates degree or at least two years of related professional work experience.

Previous experience with respect to reading and evaluating real estate appraisals, or related to fair evaluations of real estate.

The ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organizational structure.

The ability to read and interpret technical publications and legal documents and apply the subject matter appropriately.

Previous experience with Microsoft Office and Windows software.

Past experience in financial institution compliance and/or real estate appraisal preparation/use as well as Para Legal experience – desirable, but not required.
