Eight (8) years experience in an Information Technology setting with at least 4 years of that experience focused on specialized medical applications and either: 1) Two years add'l experience in a role similar to the position described above, or 2) Cloverleaf certification, or 3) BS in Computer Science or related field, or 4) combination of additional experience in a role similar to the position described above, professional certification and/or college credit comparable to 1, 2, or 3. Any applicants lacking Cloverleaf certification will be expected to complete this certification within their probationary period as a condition for continued employment.
The Sr. Medical Systems Specialist (SMSS) serves as the administrator for all specialized applications. This role encompasses the traditional support functions, as well as process analysis and liaison duties. In addition, the SMSS is responsible for customization and interface development utilizing a broad range of development tools. The SMSS is expected to act proactively to implement measures to maximize application availability. Customer satisfaction, seamless integration and application availability are the most direct measure of success in this position.
