Under the clinical and administrative supervision of the Clinical Systems Director, responsible for the overall supervision of the inpatient therapy staff. Directly supervises all inpatient therapists, coordinates therapists' schedules and completes all performance appraisals and licensure reviews on supervisees within a timely fashion. Ensures individual and group therapy services support best practice approaches and are provided at a level of intensity commensurate with patients' needs. Contributes positively to the therapeutic milieu through collaborative efforts with physicians, nursing, and case management/discharge planning staff. Proactively problem solves situations in the best interests of patient care, safety and satisfaction. Actively contributes to patient satisfaction measures, problem solving and plans of action. Actively participates in performance improvements processes and ensures therapy services are provided and documented in a manner that promotes "continuous readiness" for and compliance with The Joint Commission. Participates in forms development and revisions to ensure documentation meets accreditation standards. Facilitates continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services.


Master's Degree in a mental health related field; a minimum of five years clinical experience in an inpatient setting, plus appropriate independent license as required in the Ohio Department of Mental Health rules for provider qualifications 5122-23-01 and the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services certification standards.

CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.

Computer skills sufficient to learn and utilize the electronic medical record are a mandatory requirement for all direct service staff and supervisory staff.

Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
