Why just read about research… when you can be part of it?
As a Senior PT, wouldn’t you prefer to expand your capabilities by doing– rather than by being on the outside looking in? At UCH, we place emphasis on rehabilitation research, so we are putting our PTs at the forefront by actually having them participate in the programs. Speaking of learning, because we’re a teaching hospital, any day of the week you’ll be face-to-face and mind-to-mind with doctors who genuinely enjoy answering questions you might pose to them. And, being an academic medical center, our cases can be more diverse; both medically complex and challenging.
Recognized as one of the top 25 Best Hospitals to Work for in the U.S. by Health Exec News , the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) is a 3-time Magnet hospital. In 2011 and again in 2012, UCH was honored as the #1 academic hospital in the U.S. by the University HealthSystem Consortium. On a local level, The U.S. News Best Hospitals report ranks UCH as the best hospital in Colorado. UCH recently joined with Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies and Memorial Hospital to form University of Colorado Health.
As a Senior Physical Therapist , you will be responsible for the evaluation of patients as well as for the implementation of an effective physical therapy program based on your professional judgment and sensitivity. You may be working in one or more programs in a specialty area. And your high level of expertise will be enhanced as your continuing education doesn’t end with the doctors–we will pay for internal as well as external learning opportunities. Another reason to be inspired–the Clinical Ladder is yours for the climbing as our therapists are recognized for achieving extra certifications.
You will need a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, be a Registered (PTR), and have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire). You must also have at least 3 years of experience in a specialty area, or at least 5 years of related experience.
There are many advantages to becoming part of UCH, including our continuing growth and financial stability. This means that going forward, we can provide everything you need to succeed and thrive. Here are some of the excellent compensation and cafeteria-style benefit programs we offer:
