The Department of Pediatrics has an opening for a full-time Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pediatrics / Hematology-Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant Research Laboratories at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. Job Responsibilities:
The position is for a highly motivated, full-time post-doctoral fellow in the cancer biology research laboratory of Dr. Amy Keating on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The researcher will work well independently as well as with a small team of scientists investigating critical issues in pediatric brain tumor growth, proliferation, and migration. Experience and proficiency with molecular biology, signaling investigations, and animal/mouse modeling of human tumors is preferred. The researcher will assist in writing grant applications and preparation of original manuscripts related to their work.
Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications): MD and or PhD in Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, or related disciplines.
Desired Qualifications: Proficiency with laboratory techniques including PCR, mammalian cell culture, transfection methodologies, bacterial culture, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and mouse handling and investigations is preferred. Additionally, a highly motivated and organized investigator with a record consistent with independent publication preparation is desired.
