General Purpose:

The Data Center Tech Service Coordinator is responsible for providing technical support and remediation of issues as they apply to a 7 x 24 operational data center NOC environment. Basic troubleshooting, incident tracking, event management and escalation services are requirements of the position. Position administers the prime data center operational environment which includes implementation, installation, support, as well as, execution of operational procedures. In addition to event management, position requires basic troubleshooting skills, network monitoring skills, batch processing management. Position requires an individual to be comfortable working alone or with a group.

Essential Functions:

Primary responsibility is respond to, escalate and resolve critical events
Experience with data center operations and 7x24 NOC environments
Timely resolution to and tracking of events
Ability to execute procedures to department service standards
Proficient with large Data Center server and network environments
Experience with data center structured cabling infrastructure
Experience with KVM systems and connectivity
Experience dealing with service providers
Experience with using traditional NOC monitoring toolsets
Experience with change control system

Qualifications and Special Skills Required:
•Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
•Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills
•3-5 years of experience in technical customer service position
•Very good technical working knowledge and hands-on experience.
•Good communication skills are essential. Must be able to give and receive correct information, explain difficult information in layman’s terms and maintain a customer service attitude to all levels of users.
•Able to work independently and creatively problem-solve complex technical problems.
•Able to provide guidance and training to others
Lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
•Able to use Microsoft Office products and other similar operational tools
