As we continue to grow; we look for talented individuals like you to join our team.SUMMARY: The Program Manager has overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractualdeliverables, which includes applying project management methodologies for planning, tracking, change control, andrisk management. The PM is responsible for managing all project resources and resource estimation, including subvendors,and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and customer.PURPOSE AND MISSION: * Manage programs and projects related to network engineering, satellite diversity, VSAT engineering anddeployment, and SATCOM* Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, and company management on VSAT andSATCOM technical matters* Support Sales efforts to identify and respond to project‐related requests for proposal/quotation with wellcraftedproposals, supportable pricing, responsible scheduling, cost control, scope changes, and overall direction* Manage the engineering, implementation, and operation of multiple SATCOM programs and projects* Manage project budgets; prepare, create, update, and track schedules* Review work by the engineering staff and coordinate work by sub‐vendors8/2010* Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations* Manage the operational, financial, and technical performance of the projects* Manage the project team, directly or indirectly, and provide leadership and guidance to the teamREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience leading IP Networking, Satellite, and Voice projects* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment* 5+ years of extensive project management experience including proven experience of IT Delivery ‐ preferably inthe Satellite Communications sector* Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision* Demonstrated ability managing at least 2 medium‐sized, full life‐cycle projects* Strong team leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytic and problem‐solving skills* Proven track record of successfully completing projects from inception to delivery to closeout* Ability to travel (domestic and overseas)* BA or BS Degree preferred* Background in Project Controls, Process, and Methodology preferred* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearanceGLOBECOMM offers an exceptional compensation package and a world‐class range of benefits!offers an exceptional compensation package and a world‐class range of benefits!Interested and qualified candidates should apply on‐line at: http://www.globecommsystems.com/about/career.shtmlGlobecomm is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
