Understand business objectives, strategies and programs and identify new, innovative ways information and/or technology can be leveraged to achieve desired business results. Provide consultative services using industry best practices to ACCP business units in the area of Business Process Documentation, Business Case Development, Business Process Improvement Analytics, and Business Intelligence Analytics. Direct a three person team.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Identify and communicate emerging technology capabilities that help teams achieve results. Ensure alignment between IT strategy and stakeholder’s business plans. Provide leadership in identifying business-building opportunities, defining requirements, and managing IT solution development through implementation. Create, manage and implement project plans and resources for approved business and technology improvement projects. Ensure business and technology improvements are adapted in the business and that appropriate change mangement, communication and training occurs.
  • Serve as internal consultant and project/program leader for business stakeholders. Partner with stakeholders to identify, define and prioritize business improvement and transformation opportunities. Provide business process evaluations, requirements, and risks to match up with exisiting and future technology architectures; collaborate with the Director of Information Management and Technology to identify appropriate solutions. Assist business tying business process improvement opportunities to the business strategic goals and to overall ACCP goals.
  • Work with business leaders and key IT staff resources to: champion innovation in business operations, processes, and resources; enable effective definition and implementation of business strategies; and elevate the effectiveness of business methods to achieve College objectives.
  • Communicate project status and business-impacting developments and provide project methodology and tools into a business and IT knowledge repository.
  • Direct the activities of a three person team (Principal Technologist, Business Analyst, Senior Web Developer) and coordinate their activites and projects to maximize achieving technology and College goals.
  • Manage the operations, support, and service delivery of enterprise applications and hosted services such as Learning Management System, Content Management System, and Association Manangement System (under development).
  • Other Functions/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and implementing approved business and technology improvement projects on time and on budget.
  • Responsible for achieving stated key performance indicator objectives of approved business and technology improvement projects.
  • Responsible for advancing the ACCP business methodology around business process improvement and technology integration projects.
  • Responsible for selecting and managing vendors and consultants as needed to meet approved project objectives.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Required Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology; substantially equivalent business experience may be accepted; MBA or equivalent five additional years of business experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of twelve years of business, consulting, management and project management experience. Association management experience preferred. Direct business experience in a medical association is a plus.
  • Five years of Project Management Office or equivalent, and related project management and/or consulting experience
  • Large project management ERP implementation and business experience
  • Advanced project management and change management skills. PMP or equivalent certification preferred; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including ability to deliver findings and recommendations in a well-articulated presentation to an executive level audience
  • Excellent inter-personal, management, leadership, presentation, negotiation, vendor management, written and verbal communication, operations, and service delivery skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, work well as a team player, and to multi-task in order to achieve deadlines.
  • Commitment to diversity in the workplace and to the goals and philosophy of ACCP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient in time tracking and database management tools.
