Primary Functions:
Responsible for supervising, planning, and directing development activities for the large complex systems, and other related systems as required. Provide project management for development and implementation of large complex projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct and perform the planning, recommendation, and implementation of changes to application platforms and related software in support of organizational goals.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of credit union applications and their capabilities, strategic technological trends and issues of information processing.
Provide leadership and work direction to other staff members in research, analysis, recommendation, and implementation of complex applications.
Assist in the direction of project activities for the group to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments and development activities.
Direct and perform development activities in conjunction with application software release updates.
Provide resource allocations and support for development projects.
Oversee the work assigned to individual staff members to ensure prioritizations are being managed effectively.
Oversees the development and administration of assigned staff.
Assist with the development and enforcement of departmental procedures to ensure personnel employ proper change control, follow established application installation standards and utilize industry best practice standards of application configuration for assigned projects.
Supervise assigned personnel Business Systems Analysts and Programmer Analysts in defined areas of responsibility.
Maintain a working knowledge of credit union operations and an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging applications, technologies and best practices.
Develop familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
Project management in directing efforts to solve complex information requirements. Activities range from analysis of workflow, system development and quality assurance processes through ongoing application development.
Prepare and present business proposals for evaluation and selection of application systems, development of system enhancements and acquisition of new technologies to satisfy complex business information requirements.
Establish project objectives and plans by coordinating and collaborating with departments and senior management.
Oversee the development and maintenance of application system documentation.
Prepares consolidated project status reporting.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience Required - Minimum of eight years progressive experience in Information Technology with at least 4 years project management experience with complex projects, and 2 years in a supervisory capacity in application development.
Skills - Requires a thorough working knowledge of analysis, development and integration of applications in a financial service environment. Working knowledge of Internet development tools, server-based hardware/software systems and security applications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated planning and project management skills. Strong supervisory and organization skills.
