Photo Research® designs & develops scientific grade color & light measurement instruments for the international flat panel display (mobile devices, tablets, laptops, computer, consumer electronics, professional grade etc.) and entertainment industries worldwide. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team of experienced EE, ME, firmware and software professionals to expand the limits of light measurement.
You will analyze, design, program, debug and modify software. Work often involves integrating hardware and software systems. This position requires knowledge and exposure to firmware/hardware design. Typically, work will involve C/C++, C#, GUI development for software applications. Work with hardware and software engineers in developing new products and supporting/updating current products Document and oversee documentation for both existing and future software / firmware
5+ years overall professional level experience BS Software Engineering / Computer Science / related field Proven ability to work with a small group of software/firmware engineers 3+ years MS Windows C++ experience; 2+ years C# experience Ability to troubleshoot software (or hardware) issues through use of debuggers Strong documentation skills Working knowledge of firmware/hardware to be able to oversee and coordinate firmware tasks Familiarity with Source Code Control in a multi-developer environment
Driver development experience with USB, Ethernet, BlueTooth; Apple iOS/OS X programming; Linux programming; Android programming; Labview programming; Photometry experience/knowledge; Understanding of instrument calibration and data correction; Test scripting; Web ASP development; Image processing
