The Laurel Consulting Group was founded in 1990, and within four years began providing management support services to Federal government agencies as an 8(a) certified small business. Since 1994 we have provided national and international grants support services to over 30 Federal discretionary grant programs. We are also instrumental in developing and implementing emerging, information technology based solutions.

LCG, Inc. is seeking Java Developers (6+ years) to develop and enhance multiple applications in an enterprise environment. Our engineering team is working on problems in a number of areas, including system to system interfaces, scalability issues with load and capacity, usability and accessibility upgrades, feature improvements, and refactoring. We're looking for software engineers who understand the Internet, follow modern Java, and can apply solutions to a plethora of areas on the project. The selected candidate will perform design, coding, configuration and testing. Immediately, you'll start working with experienced developers and contribute to features that might be released in just a of couple weeks later.

Specific knowledge and experience should include: NetBeans and/or Eclipse IDEs, Linux/Ubuntu, JEE, JSP, JPA, JMS, SOA, XML Beans, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Maven, Hudson, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, Websphere, Glassfish, and JBoss.

· Information Systems or Computer Sciences degree
· Object Oriented Programming, and can mentor junior developers.
· Multi-tier web-based applications, user interfaces and user interaction.
· Knowledge of XHTML, JSP, JSTL, with CSS styles applied.
· Demonstrated experience with JavaScript libraries such as Dojo, specifically in the utilization of grids (data and tree).
· Experience contributing to and consuming Open Source projects a plus.
