Assistant or Associate Professor of Public Relations (EEO LA 13-12)

The Department of Communication offers a tenure-track position in public relations, entailing a three-course/semester teaching load, research and service work.

Candidates should have a doctorate in public relations or a related field. Teaching experience and at least three years' experience as a public relations professional are highly desirable. Those seeking appointment at the associate professor level should have a research, teaching and service portfolio commensurate with that rank.

The Department of Communication enrolls more than 500 majors and offers a master's degree as well as undergraduate degrees in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, advertising, and organizational communication. Located in the heart of French Louisiana, UL Lafayette is the second-largest university in Louisiana. The department is accredited by ACEJMC.

The job begins in August 2013. Review of applications will begin in February 2013 and continue until the position is filled.
