Part-time, 36 hours per hours per two week pay period. Hours: 6:03a-7p or 6:30p - 7a to include nights, weekends, and holiday.

The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality patient care to clients and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. The SURGICAL Technologist demonstrates technical competencies and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, supplies and instruments utilized in the operating room. The SURGICAL Technologist has positive interpersonal relationships and well developed critical thinking skills. He/she supports the philosophy, goals and standards of the hospital, department and unit. The SURGICAL Technologist has a knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of neonatal, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Perinatal/Gynecology Services includes Childbirth classes, Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Recovery, Operating Room, Perinatal Outpatients, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, follow-up programs, and Gynecology.

Following a formal competency-based orientation, competent performance is expected. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of neonatal, adolescent, adult and geriatric client populations. Surgical Technology skills required are scrubbing and assisting for all operative procedures including but not limited to vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, post-partum tubal ligations, D & Cs, D & Es, etc.

Required Skills

Graduate of a school of Surgical Technology. National certification is preferred.
