The Public Health Nurse position involves performing communicable disease control and prevention activities. Position will work 40 hpw.

Essential Duties:

Work involves immunization administration and education, reportable disease surveillance and intervention, communicable disease education and referral. Employee will collaborate with other local and state health agencies and back-up the Public Health Nurse Resource Program.


Bachelor's degree in nursing and minimum one year work related experience strongly prefer public health, including communicable disease control and immunization experience.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado, or in a state that has enacted the RN Nurse Licensure Compact.

Offer of employment contingent on criminal history and MVR check and education verification.

Special Requirements:

Must have valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violation conviction in the past three years.

Must provide immunization record at time of hire or prove immunity to comply with departmental Communicable Disease Control Policy within 30 days of hire date.

Prefer Spanish speaking ability.
