Responsibilities: Greenberg Traurig has an excellent career opportunity for Conflicts/Intake Analyst to help us expand and enhance our Intake/Conflicts operations. Successful candidates will understand legal conflicts, related ethical rules and current developments; review intake form and obtain clarity on parties and positions; perform data analysis and identify possible issues or “stop issues”, e.g. , GC business and risk policy issues, pending laterals, matters against significant clients, etc. and notify the requesting attorney; evaluate conflict report and clear potential conflicts according to GT policies; communicate directly with GT attorneys to determine legal conflicts or completed matters; document process and keep records of conversation with GT attorneys; track waivers, engagement letters, acknowledgement to close matters, etc.; capture institutional knowledge discovered during conflict resolution; elevate issues to submitting attorney, e.g. non-responsiveness, etc.; and identify and escalate ethical conflicts and unresolved issues to requesting attorney. Flexibility for 30% domestic travel required.
Requirements
Qualifications: Successful incumbent will have 4 or more years experience Litigation Legal Assistant or Library Researcher and a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills; high level of discretion in handling confidential information; excellent written, verbal and organization skills are required. Must have ability to accept direction and constructive feedback; ability to “own” and resolve problems; ability to work and lead a team in a high demand and fast paced environment. Willingness to work overtime.
