KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the development and maintenance of all flight and ground training curriculums for pilots ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and the collective bargaining agreement
Interpret and analyze regulatory, operational and policy changes for impact on the training program and manage the coordination, approval and implementation of any associated changes internally and externally
Manage the administration of the pilot Qualification Standards in coordination with the Director, Flight Standards. Assess and coordinate all changes for impact on the training program
Effectively collaborate and negotiate with the FAA as the primary training liaison and act as the department focal for both internal and external audits of the pilot training program
Manage the automated pilot qualification rules (Qualification Matrix) that ensure pilots are current and qualified pilots prior to being released to line flying
Own and manage the content of the Flight Operations Training Manual (FOTM) and provide expert guidance, training, and subject matter expertise to instructors, check airmen, and other team members regarding program requirements
Assist with the coordination and oversight of Training Department budgetary requirements
Effectively collaborate with all members of the training team, providing guidance and direction where necessary to ensure effective management of the training program
Collaborate with industry professionals by attending related meetings and conferences. Seek out and incorporate industry best practices where appropriate
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business or aviation related field preferred
Airline Transport Pilot or Aircraft Dispatcher certificate and 121 airline experience preferred
Minimum 6 years experience coordinating or managing a military or commercial air carrier training program required
Minimum 2 years experience applying instructional system design methodologies required
Experience coordinating with other FAA Voluntary Safety Programs (FOQA, LOSA, ASAP, etc.) preferred
Knowledge of TSA Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) requirements required
Knowledge of CRM, TEM and Human Factors required
Expert knowledge of 14 CFR 61, 91, and 121; specifically 121 subpart Y and related FAA Advisory Circulars, Orders and Handbooks required
Strong Microsoft Office skills required
Strong collaboration skills combined with the ability to lead change required
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external training customers required
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills required
Ability to effectively lead and motivate team members required
Attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture required
High school Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum age of 18
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
