Summary of Position The Sr. Instructional Designer partners with the Sr. Instructional Designer/Consultant to collaborate with business partners for training strategies and solutions to meet regulatory required compliance training curriculum for CFG colleagues and contractors. The Sr. Instructional Designer develops online e-learning and instructor-led courses with business unit specific content following the FFIEC guidelines and established standards for RBS CFG and following industry standards for instructional design methodology.The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing robust Compliance training through an effective computer based and instructor-led courses which support CFG and RBSA requirements and to ensure that all CFG colleagues will have adequate knowledge of the impact of applicable laws and regulation to their role and responsibilities.Primary duties include: Curriculum Development:
Develop online and instructor-led courses using online development tools such as Bankers Edge Authoring tool, IBM’s Lotus Learning Management System’s Authoring tool, SkillSoft’s Authoring Tool, Captivate, SkillSoft’s Dialogue, PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, Articulate and Snag-It
Participate as a member in working groups for CFG initiatives which impact compliance training Curriculum Design:
Analyze requests for compliance training through SMEs and from business unit managers
Research curriculum online, obtain reference documentation and consult with internal resources to understand and articulate learning content to the target audience
Update existing courses for regulatory updates, industry best practices or terminology ensuring relevance Administrative:
Maintain records for all updates and new content for auditor and regulator review
Implement all online courses or the delivery of instructor-led compliance courses Qualifications
Bachelor degree in relevant field required
Certification in instructional design preferred
3-5 years training and instructional design experience; demonstrated results in implementing successful programs including needs analysis, design, development and implementation of wide range of training curricula
3-5 years Compliance/Financial Services with general or specific experience in compliance and financial services
3-5 years Web Development using authoring tools
3+ years eLearning experience in developing eLearning Programs using various authoring tools
1-3 years Consulting/Project Management with ability to manage program development from analysis through evaluation stage
