A cross-functional position with the ability to focus in multiple areas of the Supply Chain. Major responsibilities will include monitoring/governance of the inbound/outbound flow and capacity of the campus, while optimizing effectively. Position will also be accountable for measuring and optimizing the overall “dwell” time of trailers within the 4 walls of the site. While partnering with Operations, Transportation and Product Supply, this position will act as the key liaison to deliver key strategies. Strategies will include optimizing campus inbound/outbound flow and capacity, trailer availability/utilization, yard management and enabling dock efficiencies. Position’s overall key deliverable is to improve and optimize the availability of trailers for transportation.
Proactively addresses issues with site management to smooth inbound/outbound flow. Works with Trans and Site Inventory Planners on potential bottlenecks resulting in capacity issues.
Direct liaison between site operations and area transportation planners to optimize trailer availability and dwell time of all in and outgoing loads.
Position will leverage influence key stakeholders to make informed total supply-chain decisions. Works directly with L6S teams, site operations and others to develop continuous improvement process refinements and metrics.
Provides daily analysis and reporting to site and transportation on trailer utilization/capacity, availability, dwell and potential bottlenecks.
