JobDescriptionThe successful candidatewill have the responsibility to resolve complex engineering problems associatedwith design, support, analysis, and modifications of the aircraft interiors.You may also be asked to design interiors/payloads from concept to delivery.Some structural/stress analysis guiding production design, verifying structuralintegrity through use of analytical methods and Finite element models whilehelping to document and certify test results to ensure that the customer and regulatoryagency requirements are satisfied may also be required.
Requirements: Min. BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace with 7 to 10 years of experience in a production environment, within aircraft interior design and modifications, structures is a plus. Must possess and understand the materials used in an aircraft. Must be familiar with Aircraft Composite Structures. Knowledge of aircraft structure, materials, strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions and processes (e.g. non destructive testing, corrosion prevention, fatigue). Must be proficient in 3D modeling skills. (CATIA) Perform detailed analysis and interpretation of source data and make corrections as appropriate. Review incoming source data to identify the effect and impact on the product. Working knowledge of CATIA V5 and Solid Works. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate in Microsoft Office products, Microsoft project planning.
