As a Metrology Engineer at Micron Technology Inc.'s Manassas, Virginia site, you will develop, analyze and implement metrology measurement techniques in films with a primary focus on optical characterization, modeling, Scatterometry, and surface profiling techniques. You will work closely with shift support and process/equipment engineering on the identification, evaluation, and correction of program and material influences on process control. You will also be responsible driving supplier tool CIP activity, assisting in transfer activity, defining metrics, driving performance, and providing weekly updates. You will be constantly engaged in the Fab operation and performing tasks to improve quality, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, and/or improve yield. Detailed analysis of next generation measurement capabilities as well as coordinating evolutionary programs with the equipment vendors will be required.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
A minimum of 3 years industry specific experience.
Films characterization knowledge.
Process and equipment knowledge in KLA Tencor thin film metrology is preferred.
Fab knowledge and semiconductor processing knowledge along with familiarity with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and JMP.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Perl, HTML, .NET, SQL is a plus
Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work individually on assigned tasks, or as a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in an industry related field or equivalent experience.
