Position Purpose and Requirements

:

This position is responsible for the overall management of special engineering projects that are atypical of traditional current product. This position will manage the project from concept to delivery while maintaining a significant relationship with the end-use customer.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Engineering Technology or Business or at least 6 years experience in engineering and product development

At least 7 years experience in project management including planning, estimating and completing multiple assignments

Additional Requirements

:

At least 7 years experience in engineering product development encompassing highly complex development of major vehicle systems

Must be able to travel at least 30% of the time

The candidate placed into this position will be ineligible to apply for any other positions within the company for two years following the date of placement, unless approved by his or her manager.

Commuting to Fort Wayne, Indiana

Experience with project leadership/management assignments taking one or more products from concept to manufacturing

Ability to plan, design and complete multiple projects

Ability to lead design reviews

Experience with manufacturing processes

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized and self-disciplined

Ability to work in a team environment and with customers/suppliers

Computer utilization (i.e. project management, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, databases)

  • Advanced Degree
Desire to support afternoon/evening shift of design group

Experience with managing large resource groups dedicated to Unigraphics Body Component Design
