Twitter, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Sourcing Specialist to join its quickly growing Global Sourcing and Procurement Team. With a very fast-moving start-up environment, we need someone with sufficient IT strategic sourcing experience whereby process is second nature. This person must be very flexible and strategic in their approach to help support our IT Business Partners with their spend management needs. Responsibilities: IT Sourcing Related:
Lead, or support where applicable, the execution of IT spend management projects that accomplish key objectives. Those objectives may include savings, process effectiveness, supplier consolidation & management, risk reduction & management, improved visibility & control of expenditures
Support the end to end spend management needs of IT Business Partners utilizing the standard sourcing process
Specific project tasks may include market research & analysis, data collection/management, cost modeling, RFx strategy development, RFx creation and management, supplier communications, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management
Independently develop and manage project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones
Support the development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies, tactics, and supporting tools; lead these efforts in the area of IT sourcing. Proactively make improvement recommendations to existing processes and tools
As appropriate, utilize e-sourcing technologies to develop and implement RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
Business Partner Related:
Develop & manage collaborative working partnerships with stakeholders
Support internal customers by facilitating accurate and favorable transactions, and on-going supplier management and accountability
Provide insight into IT-specific best spend management practices and technology trends
Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to IT Business Partners and leadership as appropriate and actively enlist their support
Support the development and execution of Internal Customer Satisfaction surveys, including the analysis and report out of results
Communicate with IT Business Partners, coworkers and management in a clear, concise and timely manner
Be a leader, motivator, and collaborator in all interactions.
Maintain a high level of ‘Customer Focus’ attitude
Supplier Related:
Advise on global IT supplier network capabilities, IT spend category trends and industry best practices
Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and in new markets as business requirements dictate
As required by IT Business Partners, serve as day-to-day supplier manager with responsibility for ensuring suppliers meet Twitter objectives
Support execution of quarterly business reviews with suppliers. Activities include content development, preparation and review of supplier scorecards and performance metrics
Negotiate pricing and other business terms with suppliers
Perform supplier on-boarding and termination activities
Partner with suppliers to make recommendations on programs to reduce supplier costs
Assist with resolution of major supplier performance issues
Required Skills:
BS/BA in business, purchasing or relevant discipline from reputable 4-year university or equivalent work experience. Masters degree preferred.
5+ years of direct experience managing IT spend (industry experience preferred)
Strong conceptual and analytical thinking
Strong attention to accuracy and detail
Solid communications skills and follow-up discipline
Flexibility to adapt to ever changing business situations
Highly motivated; self-starter
Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and appropriate dissemination of sensitive and confidential information
Must make sound decisions and produce accurate and timely results
Familiar with prioritizing and organizing work in a fast-paced multi-task environment
