The Director plans, coordinates and directs day-to-day activities of radiology staff to ensure effective patient flow, and accurate, high-quality imaging reports are completed. Supervises diagnostic exams as needed. Responsible for business development and operation of administrative and technical aspects of inpatient and outpatient modalities listed below. Responsible for all aspects of budgeting, capital acquisition, recruitment, staffing and staff development, purchasing, inventory control, service contract management and maintenance, performance improvement, and related functions of the radiology department.
The Director is responsible for designing and implementing the hospital's imaging business plan and strategy, procedures, equipment and policies. Manages the team in the operation of the facilities equipment including all nuclear medicine equipment, fluoroscopes, X-ray machines, MRI, Ultrasound, Echo Sonography, and CT. Develops and implements safety protocols and regulations ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements and meets all Joint Commission requirements. Responsible for applicable licensing needs for state, federal and local regulations.
Hiring Range Description:
Bachelor Of Science in Radiology Technology preferred. Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of five years experience in Healthcare management.
Special Skills / Other:
Must be a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
