The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) oversees the portfolio management and servicing of accounts that invest in all investment strategies including equities and fixed income. The global fixed income PMG team consists of individuals located globally in the New York, London, Melbourne and Tokyo offices.
The principal function of the Associate Portfolio Manager is to support the senior portfolio management team, ensuring that investment strategies are properly implemented in the portfolios.
Specific responsibilities include:
Monitor client portfolios' position weights and risk analytics compared to benchmarks and targets. Highlight deviations and enter orders to rebalance portfolios.
Construct trade orders to be executed.
Monitor portfolio positions and trade orders for compliance with client guidelines.
Generate purchase or sell orders to meet client contributions or withdrawals.
Monitor cash balances and ensure cash balances are consistent with product guidelines and current investment strategy.
Review and resolve any potential "post trade" compliance breaches.
In consultation with Portfolio Managers, review and approve client guidelines.
Manage/oversee transition of portfolios to our Fixed Income services.
Liaise with other departments internally, including Trading, Legal/Compliance, Sales/Marketing, and Investment Operations.
Implement client requests and respond to client queries.
College graduate, preferably with some industry-related experience, preferably in Fixed Income. The ideal candidate must have strong communication, quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, and be very detail-oriented. Candidate must also be able to prioritize, work well under pressure, work well independently, and be a team player. CFA candidate or charterholder desired.
