TITLE: MDTA Toll Collection Shift Supervisor (7846)

SALARY: $32,733 - $51,575 (Grade 12)

DESCRIPTION:
This is the first level of supervisory toll collection work at a toll facility of the Maryland Transportation
Authority. Employees in this class supervise toll collectors in the collection of tolls on an assigned shift. The employee is responsible for all operational aspects of the toll plaza during the shift. The current vacancies are at the Fort McHenry Tunnel and the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge, however, this recruitment also will be used to establish an Eligible List, which will fill vacancies throughout all of the Maryland Transportation Authority facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in the MDTA Toll Collector II and/or III classification. (Two years of work in the former MDTA Toll Corporal Classification is also acceptable.)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Employees are required to be available for duty at such hours of the day or night as may be necessary to maintain continuous operation of assigned toll facilities and, because they may be subject to call-ins 24 hours per day, are required to be accessible at all times through a reliable communication link such as a telephone or beeper.
2. This is an emergency essential classification subject to emergency release procedures. The employee is required to remain on or report for duty at such hours, day or night, in order to maintain continuous operation of a facility.
