United Subcontractors, Inc. (USI), a nationwide leader in the construction services industry has an opportunity available for two (2) Sales Representatives at our Champion Insulation branch in Houston, TX . USI has grown to be an industry leader with 34 branches across the country and approximately 1500 employees.
USI has developed a well-diversified installation business with a broad product mix, a strong customer base and maintains a leading share in several large markets in the U.S. USI operates in two main product segments: Core USI (insulation products as well as a range of complementary products, including shelving, window and glass installation in several markets) and shell contracting.
The Sales Representative is primarily responsible for executing on sales objectives for an assigned territory, generating and qualifying new business opportunities, and promoting, selling, supporting and increasing market share.
Work with Branch Manager and/or Sales Manager to identify sales strategies.
Assist in developing and implementing territory marketing plan.
Provide timely feedback to branch/sales management, sales team members and prospects/customers; share new business practices.
Communicate with prospects and customers via phone, face-to-face, email, and fax.
Develop/manage positive working relationships with prospects and customers.
Measure jobs in the field and off plans.
Document customer and prospect data and results.
Process bids and follow-up with customer to close the sale.
Schedule jobs working in coordination with Production Manager.
Be an expert in branch products, services, and insulation industry.
Professionally represent branch at industry tradeshows, professional associations, and customer sites.
Employ and maintain customer relationship management database (Navision).
Participate in on-going product and sales training programs.
BA/BS in business or technical area or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated ability to sell and effectively close sales
Demonstrated experience in developing territory or field based sales strategies and tactical plans
Ability to demonstrate a high level understanding of branch products and services and be able to communicate the value of these products to customers and prospects
Ability to effectively manage selling time and process
Demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills
Negotiation/persuasion skills; ability to influence decision makers
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently; self-directed
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Proven organizational skills
Ability to handle several projects concurrently and to work in a team selling environment

Valid TX driver’s license, required
Prior insulation sales experience preferred
Working knowledge of Building Science preferred
