Forest is currently seeking achievement-oriented sales professionals to call on physicians, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Sell, maintain and document all sales activities for hospital administered products within the Forest portfolio.
-Maintain a sophisticated level of clinical expertise on select hospital administered Forest Laboratories, Inc products.
-Develop and direct sales strategies at key institutions in the territory.
-Works with Division Managers to assess territory performance and trends; suggest and implement appropriate actions to enhance performance.
-Provide approved information and services to all institutional accounts such as Clinics and Hospitals in the territory.
-Develop & execute territory business plans.
-Establish pre-call objectives for each call.
-Take ownership for each institution within the territory; develop an in-depth understanding of each institution in the territory.
-Maximize contact with key influences by networking within accounts; develop strategic business relationships with influential key policy makers.
-Work with appropriate teammates (e.g., Managed Care counterparts, External Scientific Affairs) to enhance technical visibility, and company image within all accounts to maximize sales in territory.
ONLY CANDIDATES WHO MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED
-B.S. or B.A. degree required. Scientific major/minor desirable.
-Understands and appropriately presents challenging scientific information to a wide variety of customers.
-Manages time for optimal effectiveness.
-Conversational skill to get people engaged.
-Makes an immediate impact in front of physicians.
-Sales: Two or more years of successful sales experience. Experience selling antibiotics in a hospital or institutional setting is preferred.
-Influencing Decisions: Experience influencing formulary decisions. Experience promoting a hospital administered drug for formulary consideration preferred.
-Account Management: Experience developing and maintaining institutional business relationships. Work experience within territory institutions preferred.
-Clinical Experience: Antibiotic background with proven track record with IV/infusible antibiotics preferred.
-Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
-Ability to meet and maintain appropriate hospital setting credentialing guidelines required.
-Occasional overnight travel (1-2 nights/month).
