DESCRIPTION
Assists the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds with maintenance and environmental tasks.
DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Paint Agency buildings on the inside and outside.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Monitor assigned vehicles for needed service and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of all environmental paperwork and documents.
Supervise, as required, individuals assigned to the supported employment program.
Perform preventive maintenance of boilers, pumps, chillers, and clothes dryers as needed.
Maintain internal controls over all maintenance inventories.
Identify and correct safety hazards.
Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Basic woodworking maintenance skills, basic electrical maintenance skills, knowledge of hazardous materials, chemicals, and power/hand tools, experience and/or knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, basic knowledge of plumbing.
Certificates & Licenses
Within the first 90 days, attend and pass all required training for the position. Attend any other training events as instructed by supervisor or if mandatory by agency.
Other Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to pass TB test, physical, and drug screen prior to hire and as required by regulation and/or policy. Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Satisfactory results on background checks with previous employers, criminal, and abuse registries.
