KEY REQUIREMENTS

US Citizenship is required.

Must be able to successfully pass and maintain a security investigation.

Requires Selective Service Reg. if you are a male born after 12/31/1959.

Relocations expenses will not be paid.

DUTIES:
  • Research and investigate new or improved management communication practices for application to management operations.
  • Analyze new or proposed legislation or regulations to determine impact on management and program communication practices.
  • Advise the supervisor in the development and documentation of long and short-range planning efforts.
  • Present the views of the organization in communications with HUD managers and programs officials.
  • Prepare special reports on public housing program matters affecting both Headquarters and field offices functions.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify at the grade GS-14: Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as 1) applying knowledge of single family housing regulations and policies; 2) planning, organizing and directing studies; 3) justifying or settling matters involving significant or controversial issues; and 4) interacting effectively with high-level officials in the Federal, State, and local governments and the mortgage lending industry .

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
CATEGORY RATING procedures will be used to rate and rank candidates. Candidates will be ranked into 3 categories: Best, Better and Good. You will be assigned the appropriate quality level based on your response to the competencies identified in the Occupational Questionnaire. Please be sure to respond accurately to the statements in the Questionnaire. Verification of your responses will be completed by reviewing your responses and your resume or application. Deliberate attempts to falsify information may be grounds for not selecting you.
