- Research and investigate new or improved management communication practices for application to management operations.
- Analyze new or proposed legislation or regulations to determine impact on management and program communication practices.
- Advise the supervisor in the development and documentation of long and short-range planning efforts.
- Present the views of the organization in communications with HUD managers and programs officials.
- Prepare special reports on public housing program matters affecting both Headquarters and field offices functions.
To qualify at the grade GS-14: Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as 1) applying knowledge of single family housing regulations and policies; 2) planning, organizing and directing studies; 3) justifying or settling matters involving significant or controversial issues; and 4) interacting effectively with high-level officials in the Federal, State, and local governments and the mortgage lending industry .

CATEGORY RATING procedures will be used to rate and rank candidates. Candidates will be ranked into 3 categories: Best, Better and Good. You will be assigned the appropriate quality level based on your response to the competencies identified in the Occupational Questionnaire.
