Sr. IT Business Analyst.
The position will be responsible for working directly with traders, portfolio managers, risk management and middle office to implement and support Orchestrade portfolio management system.
Specific Responsibilities will include
Work directly with front office, risk management, and operations business users to scope, gather, review, create, and implement business / functional requirements.
Hands on configuration and testing to ensure system support for business requirements.
Work with the vendor to define new functional requirements
Deploy and test new software releases provided by the vendor
Responsible for training users on basic use of the system, new functionality, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS with concentration in Finance and/or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
3 + years working in systems or business analysis and system design within the capital markets industry.
3 + years’ experience functionally supporting and implementing a front-to-back system
Experience in the implementation and support of a front–to-back office systems within a Bank, Hedge fund or Asset Manager.
Strong knowledge and functional experience across multiple asset classes including: .
Detailed hands-on knowledge in cross-asset valuation, profit and loss, trade booking, and trade life-cycle processing.
Proven strong analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills
Knowledge of trade operations including industry-standard back office clearing, settlement and accounting (general ledger, PnL accounting, etc.).
Experience with third-party suppliers/partners
Experience implement and support Orchestrade portfolio management system
Experience in Front Office environments preferred
Technical / programming background is preferred.
