This position fabricates and installs insulation material throughout refinery in accordance with engineering and operation specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabricates, installs, removes, and repairs insulation materials on tanks, boilers, turbines, pumps, pipes, valves, floors, ceiling, walls, and other structures.

Reviews blueprints, schematic drawings, and job specifications to determine amount and type of insulation required for assigned work.

Performs all phases of advanced cutting, fitting, and installation of insulation material.

Operates band saw, shear, hand tools. Operates Pittsburg machine, break. Operates different edger's and knows purpose of each and keeps in repair.

Keeps inventory of materials on hand.

Fabricates tees and elbows.


Minimum High school Diploma or GED

Prefer State of Alaska Asbestos Workers' Certification or obtain within six months of hire


Minimum five (5) years of experience in insulation field through on-the-job training and/or trade school.
