The Assistant Private Events Director is responsible for supporting the Private Events Director in the selling, planning and coordinating of all aspects of private events and meeting functions held within the club. External markets may encompass seminars, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, luncheons, high tea and golf tournament events. Member events may include holiday parties, special events and more.
This Employee Partner assists the Private Events Director with special custom menus, communicating upcoming events and promotions, proactively anticipating service needs of functions and work with the service team to fill those needs. In addition, the Assistant Private Events Director fosters and develops relationships with Members, individuals and corporations who book events so as to maintain a catalogue of repeat business while prospecting for new events. Includes assistance in creating the Club newsletter, ticket sales to theater events and in Club promotions.
Job Requirements :
Experience in the hospitality industry and/or sales is preferred.
Knowledge of food, beverage and service procedures.
Knowledge of social and business etiquette.
High energy, outgoing personality.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Possesses a passion for exceeding Member expectations and a commitment to excellence resulting in high quality Member and guest service.
