This Sales and Marketing associate role is primarily focused on supporting Bankers in their prospecting, selling, and overall client relationship management activities. Focus and scope of specific responsibilities may be expanded or reduced as specific market demands may dictate.
Sales Support
Prospect Development
Manage and coordinate prospect development including identification, prioritization, initial qualification, and Customer Knowledge Center (CKC) entry. May include updating Client Central, conducting research on new prospects
Support market driven prospect identification and coordinate with the Business Development Group on additional prospect opportunities
Sales Planning Activities
Assist with call preparation; create agenda, prospect pitch books and prepare product collateral. Coordinate with all products and industry teams to obtain appropriate information for inclusion in a client pitch book as directed by banker.
Coordinate preparation of proposals with product partners as directed by Banker.
Relationship Planning Activities
Manage the transfer of prospects
Partner with banker to update and monitor Relationship Plans for Banker covered prospects and clients.
Coordinate Relationship Reviews and necessary follow-up activities
Leverage key tools to identify needs/solutions that will resonate with clients; recommend cross-sell opportunities.
Develop & maintain product knowledge including changes to existing products and new products.
Communicate product & tools changes to the Banker & market teams.
Marketing and Events:

Event Management:
Partner with Marketing to develop, coordinate, and facilitate signature/thought leadership events
Research and solidify venue, catering and onsite logistics for events
Track client participation in events
Engage marketing in new sponsorship opportunities

Campaign Management:
Partner with Marketing to develop and execute marketing campaigns/programs
Ensure market is aware of all details, key dates and next steps
Track banker follow-up activity

Communication Activities:
Actively participate in market sales meetings by providing marketing updates on banker/client initiatives, competitive intelligence, industry trends, product changes
Ensure bankers are aware of sales and marketing resources available for business development activities
Track client gift ordering and spend
Monitor local sources for client/prospect/competitor information
Participate in development and execution of segment/local marketing strategies
Manage nomination process & client selection for Events & Campaigns
Reporting and Data Management
Prepare and customize market and banker performance reports
Provide analytical support
Manage key metrics - call coverage, pipeline quality/timeliness, and sponsorship
Fulfill data quality management activities for clients & prospects
Research and help resolve profitability reporting issues
Oversee integrity of client relationship hierarchies in Client Central.
Track and report on key success factors such as client retention, growth of existing relationships, and sales success with targeted prospects & clients.
Oversee completion of market readiness activities assigned to Bankers and provide progress reporting to market leadership and readiness team.
Fulfill Compliance reporting requests and action items, as directed by the Segment Manager/Market Manager/Business Manager or Service Team.
Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests, as needed.
Other Responsibilities
Manage special Projects, analysis and reporting as requested by market leadership team
Maintain appropriate tools knowledge
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required
·
3-5 years experience in financial services, preferably commercial banking
·
Self-starter with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
·
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point required
·
Analytical, with a strong focus on details, quality, and accuracy
·
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
·
Strong verbal and written communication skills
