About the General Motors IT Enterprise Data Integration Sustain Services :
GM IT is responsible for the IT development and sustain of all business systems within GM and is focused on creating an exciting environment that not only motivates, but challenges technically adept professionals.
This data integration team provides services and functions as a data hub for all process areas across GM globally. It promotes agility, efficiency and facilitates reuse of information, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership.

About the role:
The WebLogic Administrator works as a member of a team responsible for the design and implementation, configuration and administration of Oracle WebLogic servers implemented on GM Standard platforms (Windows, Suse Linux and Sun Solaris). The WebLogic Administrator will handle all integration tasks while working closely with both Unix/Windows system administrators, Database Administrators, application Architects and project teams. This role will ensure proper configuration of the WebLogic software according to GM corporate standards. The WebLogic administrator will document and implement processes involving application installation and patching, performance improvement, availability of business server platforms, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle WebLogic Server.
- At least 3 years of experience in supporting java and J2EE applications deployed in multi-platform environment.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a UNIX and Windows environment.
- Experience with both VMware and high-availability architecture.
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
- Oracle WebLogic Server 11g System Administrator or equivalent
