Software Security Intern
In this position, you will be working as part of the Security Solutions research team within the Circuit and Systems Research (CSR) group in Intel Labs. An intern in this position will perform research into advanced platform security features including novel approaches to user authentication as well as techniques to isolated critical code segments into a secure execution environment. You will be working with hardware simulation tools and developing proofs of concept to answer research questions around software and hardware interactions, tool chain support, application model and others, in the Windows and Android operating systems. The outcome will include demos, whitepapers and presentations of the results of the investigation with focus on the impact of these technologies on future platform architectures.
- Strong written and verbal skills are important in this role.
Minimum skills and experience:
You must be a student enrolled in a Master of Science or a Ph.D. degree program in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with focus on software and platform security.
Candidate must have 1+ years of work or educational experience in the following areas:
- Knowledge of x86 PC architectures and Microsoft Windows system architecture for applications and drivers
- Strong skills in object oriented programming with experience in C, C++, Microsoft Visual Studio, XML, multithreaded software for windows
Preferred skills and experience:
- Familiarity with Operating System, kernel and device drivers would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with Google Android application and kernel development would also be beneficial
