Lending Club is seeking a veteran Linux systems administrator who is an expert in DevOps and systems automation. You will join a small team of System Administrators in a challenging, rapid-growth, dynamic environment. This is a new position at Lending Club and you will have an opportunity to lead efforts in streamlining system and network administration through new tools and techniques.
Ensure the Lending Club service is available 24x7.
Own all aspects of automated build and configuration using Puppet. Ensure infrastructure configuration changes are logged and monitored.
Work with release team to achieve zero-downtime product releases.
Ensure all servers, devices, apps and third-parties are monitored with appropriate alerting. Create dashboards for internal consumers. Collect data for capacity planning. Ensure our partners manage to their SLAs.
Major contributor to overall infrastructure architecture and strategic direction.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
High energy and passion for DevOps - this role is crucial and you need to be on top of your game.
Track record of leveraging contemporary tools and techniques to automate infrastructure provisioning, management and monitoring.
Expert in Linux/Unix administration, specifically Redhat and it’s derivatives.
Expert in networking device configuration and management, especially Cisco products.
Proven ability to prioritize, organize and deliver on commitments.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Able to quickly become expert with new technologies and techniques.
Redhat, Linux and/or Cisco certifications.
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Devops.
5 - 10+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration and network administration.
Demonstrable competence in programming and shell scripting. Experience with Ruby, Java, Perl and/or Python desirable.
