Reporting to the Sr. Director of Food & Beverage Sourcing, the Purchasing Agent will coordinate the activities of the major categories of food and beverage purchasing for multiple brands and support the requirements of other Carnival operating companies whose ships are deployed / visiting in Europe.

Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate current sourcing strategies for various categories of Food & Beverage
Evaluate different supply channels for given commodity groups and analyze where to purchase in the supply chain
Manage all Food & Beverage bids for main commodities for European Operating Companies
Identify combined purchasing opportunities with a focus on cost savings and/or quality & yield improvements
Benchmark purchasing among the European operating companies
Research new European vendors whose Products or Services portfolios match the needs of any of the Carnival Corporation & plc companies
Analyze vendor spend, estimate savings opportunities and prioritize potential projects
Perform product testing’s with Operating Companies for best fit and yield for applications

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience in Marine Hotel operations and/or purchasing with focus on Food & Beverage
Solid understanding of Marine Food & Beverage supply chain (manufacturers, vendors, distributors etc.)
Expert negotiating skills
Deomonstrated ability to manage projects to completion
Ability to drive change and influence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, and database systems
Strong analytical background
Ability to quickly and effectively learn new systems
Solid understanding of import and export regulations in US and Europe
