Part Time - Benefited position (@20 hours/week)
The purpose of this position is to perform complex paraprofessional work in one or more of the specialized fields of librarianship. This is accomplished by providing functional and technical oversight to Library Assistants I and II, ordering, receiving and processing material for library collections, cataloging, performing clerical duties, and assisting patrons as needed. Other duties may include: Assisting patrons with public computers, instructing basic computer classes and teaching others how to use eBooks and eBook readers.

Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.

Exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally; 10-25 lbs. frequently; or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
Exerting 50-100 lbs. occasionally; 10-25 lbs. frequently; or up to 10-20 lbs. constantly.
Exerting over 100 lbs. occasionally; 50-100 lbs. frequently; or up to 20-50 lbs. constantly.
Processes books and periodicals by labeling books, replacing books, keeping informative public records and information available on display, cataloging materials. Performs cataloging and revision in all formats using the online library system.
Processes orders on electronic ordering systems for library and verifies library purchases; assists with interlibrary loan and serials, resolves all order discrepancies with selectors and vendors, and applies labels, bar codes, property stamps and security to new materials.
Assists patrons at the circulation desk; checks out items, issues library cards, takes payments, researches titles and authors, places book holds, processes lost books, trains volunteers and staff as needed, oversees workflow and provides staff support.
Performs a variety of library clerical duties including evaluating materials for damages, receiving payments, reviewing automated reports, updating records, and assisting with book displays.
Assists patrons with public computers, instructs basic introductory public computer classes, participates in library committees, training and special projects to included integrated library software application.

Monday-Tuesday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm;
Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm;
Sunday 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
