Recovery Center at Woodburn helps individuals build skills, reclaim hope and feel supported on their journey of recovery. This Program offers a new clinical approach, one that is dramatically different than the traditional sub-acute locked facility.
The RN-Recovery Specialist is a treatment team member who is responsible for providing care to meet the physical and psychological needs of residents through providing direct and indirect services in a manner consistent with Rehabilitation and Recovery principles. The RN-Recovery Specialist also performs activities that may be carried out only by professional nursing personnel.
-Must hold a BSN from an accredited school of nursing and a License from Oregon Board of Nursing and be at least eighteen years of age
-Must have one year of experience in a mental health setting
-Must have belief in individual’s ability to recover from disabling mental illness
-Knowledge of basic physiology, psychotropic medications, abnormal lab results, and psychiatric rehabilitation interventions are essential
-Must possess good communication skills, the ability to complete accurate assessments and be willing to participate as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
-Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing English
-CPR certification and negative TB screen are required
-Criminal background clearance and education verification are required
