The role of the Material Planner, Foodsolutions North America is to support the growth agenda of the business by reviewing material availability at 3PM sites while striving to reduce/eliminate business waste on raw and packaging materials as well as manage finished goods inventory throughout the life cycle.

This position will partner with Supply Planners on innovation and rejuvenation projects and help manage timeline and minimize waste on obsolete material.

The Material Planner owns the execution of write-off, donation and liquidation processes for FSNA business and assists with SKU rationalization recommendations and monitoring of implementation.

This individual must possess the ability to make decisions that will balance service with cost to ensure that diverse business objectives are met.

This position encompasses all categories within the FSNA portfolio and engages with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Interface with 3rd Party Manufacturing sites, Procurement and FSNA Supply Planners regarding material availability to ensure reliable production schedule.

Track unique ingredient material inventory (packaging and raw) at 3rd Party Manufacturing sites

Interface with 3PM Managers for continuous improvement opportunities within 3PM sites on managing inventory and procurement processes

Business Waste – manage donation, liquidation, and write-off processes and metrics.

Tracking of aging inventory, communication with key stakeholders and seek disposition in timely manner, per corporate guidelines.

Lead continuous improvement efforts in reducing business waste for FSNA.

Engagement with 3rd Party DC’s and Unilever Warehousing team on obsolete product disposition

Quality agenda – notification and communication to FS Quality team as opportunities arise

Participation in ideation and execution of VIP

Key Requirements

2+ Year experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Planning, Material Planning or Supply Planning.

Experience with the movement of material and warehousing.

Proven track record of working in a regional/global environment.

Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Planning, Engineering or related fields.

Ability to work independently and as a team; self-starter.
