Brandywine Realty Trust, a premier commercial Class A full service real estate company with operations nationwide, has an immediate opening for a full-time Financial Analyst in our Falls Church, VA office . The primary function of this position is to support the Regional Asset Manager in the tracking, quality assurance and reporting of leasing, operational and financial outcomes and trends.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leasing
- Budget and reforecast portfolio leasing

- Maintain executed deal terms; lease administration quality assurance

- Work with leasing team to track leasing pipeline and establish deal economics, short- and long-term

- Work with leasing team and legal counsel in preparing lease documents

- Ensure leases comply with internal, joint venture and lender requirements

- Perform due diligence/credit evaluation on prospective tenants

- Assist Regional Asset Manager with credit risk resolutions

- BOMA SF measurement tracking
  • Operations
- Analytical review of property budgets and quarterly reforecasts

- Analytical review of monthly income statements

- Analytical review of lease recovery provisions

- Work with Regional Asset Manager and tax consultant on valuations and appeals

- Regional Capital project tracking

- Analytical review and tracking of energy consumption and efficiency initiatives, as well as purchase of power contracts

- Analytical review of regional results & operating trends at the property level
- contracts, overtime, service requests, and others as assigned Market - Collection and reporting on office market and local economy conditions

- Work with regional leadership to track detailed market and sub-market trends
  • Reporting & Analysis
- Collaborate with regional team in preparation of annual business plan, quarterly reforecasts, monthly updates

- Prepare reports for joint venture and/or third party representatives

- Analysis of investment alternatives for alternative lease structures and/or acquisition/dispositions

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business Administration, accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate environment
  • Familiarity with the Metro DC market
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Financial modeling system familiarity (Argus)
  • MRI experience preferable
