Position Summary



Benefit Analyst

independently acts as the primary negotiator in obtaining the most appropriate carrier coverage based upon client needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with Producers and/or Account Executives to understand a prospect’s needs.

Submits coverage specifications and obtains quotes from potential carriers.

Serves as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies.

Write and manage response(s) to RFP

May provide guidance to more junior staff, but has no formal supervisory responsibility.

Strong knowledge of the insurance brokerage business.

Works independently on the most complex and/or important placements.

Additional Considerations:

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years related experience required.

Strong knowledge of the insurance brokerage business.

Profesional designation preferred, such as CPCU, CIC or ARM.

Work Characteristics:
Able to work independently.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
