Leading Innovator in Operations Consulting & Company is seeking an Associate Consultant, New Business and Innovation, in San Francisco. This role will provide support for the Managing Director, New Products and Innovation in business development and new product development initiatives. Main responsibilities include:
Conduct required research, market or data analysis, competitive benchmarking, and data gathering in support of business development initiatives and new product initiatives
Work with the Managing Director to identity processes and IP around data driven decision making and big data that could be developed into new tools and stand-alone products
Research and recommend build versus buy strategy to develop tools and products
Help manage the process of product development and roll-out, playing a role of product manager
Partner with the Leading Innovator in Operations Consulting Marketing team to develop an industry specific marketing plan around consumer-facing businesses including retail, media, advertising and education.
Develop key target lists and engage in lead generation and outreach activities across these categories with the aim of driving new business
Participate in business development, product partnership and product development meetings.
Take a lead role in driving both internal and client-ready deliverables and/or presentations
3-6 years of prior business experience required, prior experience at a tier 1 consulting firm or professional services firm a plus
Experience supporting business development strategies essential
Experience in product development in a product-driven organization a plus
Comfort with and an interest in big data and analytics
Understanding of the technology landscape
Comfort presenting and interacting with senior level executives both internally and at client organizations
Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills required
Commitment to gaining exposure to multiple industries
Comfortable with travel, as needed
BA required; Masters degree preferred
