MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible position as required by TPR 303. Although conditions of employment, such as grade/rank restrictions, medical, technician compatibility, etc., are not used to determine an applicants eligibility to apply for a position, the applicant must meet the conditions prior to appointment in the position. The compatibility requirements for this position are:
Military Appointment & DAOC/DMOS: Officer - CMF 25, 46, or 53
Warrant Officer - MOS 125D, 255A, 255N, or 255D
Enlisted - CMF 46 or MOS 25V
Minimum & Maximum Military Grade: E1 - 05 (Note: You must provide proof with application of eligibility to hold appropriate military grade.)

AREA OF CONSIDERATION : This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is restricted to current Guard members of the Mississippi Army or Air National Guard.
You must maintain membership in National Guard for continuous employment. DUTIES:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is located in an information management organization. The purpose of the position is to create visual products covering a broad range of subject areas, to enhance or symbolize an idea that has been described in words, to produce an emotional effect, or to present information that cannot be expressed adequately in words alone. This involves the taking of still photographs or tape video for the documentation of events, training or educational purposes. The incumbent then utilizes development processes or specialized computerized programs to enhance the resultant image(s). QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Applicants must possess experience, education, or training which demonstrates the ability to operate such cameras and related equipment as still cameras, copy cameras, 8mm and 35mm motion picture cameras; and knowledge of developing and printing processes and related techniques.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must posses 24 months of experience in "custom" photography, such as special developing and previewing techniques, and use of appropriate cameras to meet individualized requirement, i.e., still and motion, ultra high speed, stop still, etc.; experience in exploiting the potentials of available equipment and conducting tests on photo materials; experience in setting up special equipment to create special affects.
NOTE: Your application must contain a description of both civilian and military experience as it relates to the general and specialized experience requirements.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS : Selected individual must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for this position and/or the compatible military position.
MEDICAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : A pre-placement physical examination may be required for this position. Selected individual must maintain any medical/physical standards for this position and/or the compatible military position.
