As a Technical Quality Assurance Lead within the IT Risk and Security Management organization, you will work as part of the development team to ensure that quality engineering practices are applied throughout the delivery cycle. This includes establishing and ensuring quality practices are followed from requirements through release, with automation and efficiency as primary drivers. Working with the analysts and developers you will drive a test driven approach to development, and work within an agile delivery methodology that balances testing automation with manual assurances. Additionally, you will work with the business community to balance manual acceptance testing and regression needs to ensure that a desired and predictable product is delivered. You will need to foster relationships with the various system integrations to support dependency testing between groups, and across support teams as we test functionality and build/deploy processes across environments. You will also be responsible for post production validation, working closely with the business sponsors to ensure that the final delivered product is fit for use.
To provide a fully integrated quality program to the software delivery cycle, you will drive the ongoing progression of quality practices by participating in sprint retrospectives and providing metrics for various aspects of quality improvement, from better unit testing, more detailed requirements, and developer training. This will include defining if any quality assurance gaps exist and how to address going forward.
Along with defining the end to end quality assurance practices for end user functionality, you will also be responsible for overall system capabilities such as performance and scalability. In this role you will need to understand the current and future production usage of the system and be able to plan and execute performance testing, high availability testing, and DR testing.
