OpenGeo is seeking an experienced, goals-oriented inside sales leader who can both sell and help us build our Inside Sales team in order to convert major government agencies and commercial enterprises into users of our innovative, open source geospatial web services software. We are working to transform the landscape for geospatial web software through revolutionary cost-effective technology that scales more effectively, works more reliably, and lowers the total cost of ownership for web and mobile mapping applications. Our Sales team has doubled revenues and average sales over the past year, and we want someone who will help us continue this success! OpenGeo°s market opportunities include: The growing web-mapping market Replacement of expensive proprietary GIS web services and mobile mapping technologies with commercial, open-source software Emerging open source cloud technologies and open source SaaS and PaaS offerings Professional services for implementation and migration to open-source solutions Sales of training services Partnering and teaming opportunities with other implementers The Senior Inside Sales Manager responsibilities will include: Take a leadership role in quickly developing OpenGeo ’s inside sales function and bulding a stellar Inside Sales team Be the first point of contact for the high-volume of of prospects we receive via web leads, targeted campaigns, SEM, light cold calls, direct inquiries) Manage leads and close sales Maintain accurate account, contact, sales activity, and opportunity information in Salesforce Identify sales strategies and map to corresponding individuals " teams within a prospect account Work with Sales Engineers to answer technical questions as part of the qualification process Work with the Senior Vice President of Sales to create monthly/quarterly inside sales revenue targets The Senior Inside Sales Manager must have: 3-5 years of excellent sales experience (phone/in-person) in the software industry Proven track record of quota and goal achievement Excellent sales and communication skills Ability to learn and use new technologies Be a skilled and analytic listener Proven ability to give impactful presentations Experience and excitement about working in a fast-paced environment CRM experience (Salesforce.com preferred) Competence with MS Office Suite Our Ideal Candidate Will: Have a positive attitude and be driven to meet and exceed goals Be energetic and persistent Display a proven ability to work with numerous different groups and individuals within an organization Be organized, punctual, meticulous, and possess a strong ability to juggle multiple tasks Have a friendly, expressive and approachable tone and voice Enjoy connecting with people over the phone and be able to conduct a high-volume a calls daily Have experience in the geospatial field and be familiar with enterprise open source soft We Offer At OpenGeo we invest in the best people and treat them right.
